Ron Plante is a Search and Rescue Coordinator for the US Coast Guard and author. He has worked for the Coast Guard for nearly 20 years. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA he has since lived in numerous places including Honolulu, Hi; Miami, FL; and now resides in Charleston, SC with his family.
